For most of the last two centuries, the majority of the buildings were in ruins but the castle was almost fully restored in the late 1990s.<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">The castle consists of a 15th century rectangular keep with a later Jacobean style wing. There is a small gatehouse at its entrance mirroring the design of the keep. Most of the stone work was constructed from locally sourced limestone with some sandstone. The castle was the stronghold of the O'Donnell clan, Lords of Tír Conaill and one of the most powerful Gaelic families in Ireland from the 5th to the 16th centuries.<br /></div>By : Wikipedia.comwebmasterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11061921009213919321noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-357486857043398382.post-48808232795968636602009-06-27T13:24:00.000-07:002009-06-27T13:25:08.954-07:00Sogod Southern Leyte<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://img2.travelblog.org/Photos/26557/114164/t/774164-Sogod-Bay-0.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://img2.travelblog.org/Photos/26557/114164/t/774164-Sogod-Bay-0.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://dive.scubadiving.com/members/memberimages/42130_1139985606_Article-13.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://dive.scubadiving.com/members/memberimages/42130_1139985606_Article-13.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/144/321376968_55d51cc7e7.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/144/321376968_55d51cc7e7.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><span style="color: rgb(255, 153, 0); font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" >Sogod Southern Leyte</span><br /></div>Sogod is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Southern Leyte, Philippines. Whenever feasible we offer our guests sixty minute dives.<br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">In addition to a vast array of both soft and hard coral Sogod Bay supports aquatic life from tiny pgymy seahorses, nudibranches and pipefish to turtles, frogfish, napoleon wrasse, and even, at the right time of year, whale sharks!<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Co-owner and certified PADI instructor Phil McGuire offers a range of PADI courses, both for divers who are new to diving and for certified divers wishing to continue their dive education during their stay at the resort. The resort is the only dive operation in the area offering enriched air facilities.<br /><br /></div>Our philosophy is that the quality of the diving must be reflected in all areas of the resort. Accordingly, all of our accommodation has been designed with quality and comfort in mind. Indeed, since opening in February 2006 all of our guests have been impressed by the quality of our accommodation. Our cottages are equipped with air-conditioning and a fan and each cottage overlooks Sogod Bay, just a few metres from the shore.webmasterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11061921009213919321noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-357486857043398382.post-88612962014139311452009-06-21T11:04:00.000-07:002009-06-21T11:05:31.237-07:00Rathfarnham Castle World Travel<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.erasmuspc.com/images/content/wellington%20monument.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://www.erasmuspc.com/images/content/wellington%20monument.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.rathfarnham.com/castle2.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://www.rathfarnham.com/castle2.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.goireland.com/photos/11401_11500/rathfarnham-castle-desc1-11455.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 250px; height: 250px;" src="http://www.goireland.com/photos/11401_11500/rathfarnham-castle-desc1-11455.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/e/eb/Rathfarnham_Castle.jpg/400px-Rathfarnham_Castle.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/e/eb/Rathfarnham_Castle.jpg/400px-Rathfarnham_Castle.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><span style="color: rgb(51, 51, 255); font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" >Rathfarnham Castle World Travel</span><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">One of the most interesting features of Rathfarnham are its secret tunnels. However, the towers are still the tallest twin buildings in the world. They were the world's tallest buildings from 1998 to 2004 if measured from the level of the main entrance to the structural top, the original height reference used by the US-based Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat from 1969 (three additional height categories were introduced as the tower neared completion in 1996).Designed by Argentine-American architect César Pelli, the Petronas Towers were completed in 1998 and became the tallest buildings in the world on the date of completion. They were built on the site of Kuala Lumpur's race track. Because of the depth of the bedrock, the buildings were built on the world's deepest foundations. The 120-meter foundations were built by Bachy Soletanche, and required massive amounts of concrete.<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">The 88-floor towers are constructed largely of reinforced concrete, with a steel and glass facade designed to resemble motifs found in Islamic art, a reflection of Malaysia's Muslim religion. Another Islamic influence on the design is that the cross-section of the towers is based on a Rub el Hizb (albeit with circular sectors added to meet office space requirements).<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Due to a lack of steel and the huge cost of importing steel, the towers were constructed on a cheaper radical design of super high-strength reinforced concrete. High-strength concrete is a material familiar to Asian contractors and twice as effective as steel in sway reduction; however, it makes the building twice as heavy on its foundation than a comparable steel building. Supported by 23-by-23 meter concrete cores and an outer ring of widely-spaced super columns, the towers use a sophisticated structural system that accommodates its slender profile and provides from 1300 to 2000 square metres of column-free office space per floor.Below the twin towers is Suria KLCC, a shopping mall, and Dewan Filharmonik Petronas, the home of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra.<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Other buildings have used spires to increase their height but have always been taller overall to the pinnacle when trying to claim the title. In the aftermath of the controversy, the rules governing official titles were partially overhauled, and a number of buildings re-classified structural antenna as architectural details to boost their height rating (even though nothing was actually done to the building).<br />By : Wikipedia.com</div>webmasterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11061921009213919321noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-357486857043398382.post-17911963692737282292009-05-17T10:32:00.000-07:002009-05-17T10:34:28.362-07:00Borobudur Temple Taravel Gallery<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.boncherry.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/borobudur-aerial-view.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://www.boncherry.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/borobudur-aerial-view.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://travel.nationalgeographic.com/places/images/photos/photo_lg_indonesia.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://travel.nationalgeographic.com/places/images/photos/photo_lg_indonesia.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://kakisewu.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/borxv5.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://kakisewu.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/borxv5.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://photography.nationalgeographic.com/staticfiles/NGS/Shared/StaticFiles/Photography/Images/POD/b/borobudur-temple-694327-xl.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://photography.nationalgeographic.com/staticfiles/NGS/Shared/StaticFiles/Photography/Images/POD/b/borobudur-temple-694327-xl.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_NUem_LGpx4Y/SWVjSv3UZ-I/AAAAAAAAACc/vU6TdqNaTTg/s400/Indonesia+Wallpaper+Borobudur+Temple.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_NUem_LGpx4Y/SWVjSv3UZ-I/AAAAAAAAACc/vU6TdqNaTTg/s400/Indonesia+Wallpaper+Borobudur+Temple.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 153); font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" >Borobudur Temple Taravel Gallery</span><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Borobudur is a ninth-century Mahayana Buddhist monument in Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia. The journey for pilgrims begins at the base of the monument and follows a path circumambulating the monument while ascending to the top through the three levels of Buddhist cosmology, namely Kāmadhātu (the world of desire), Rupadhatu (the world of forms) and Arupadhatu (the world of formlessness). During the journey the monument guides the pilgrims through a system of stairways and corridors with 1,460 narrative relief panels on the wall and the balustrades.<br /></div><br />Evidence suggests Borobudur was abandoned following the fourteenth century decline of Buddhist and Hindu kingdoms in Java, and the Javanese conversion to Islam.[2] Worldwide knowledge of its existence was sparked in 1814 by Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles, the then British ruler of Java, who was advised of its location by native Indonesians. Borobudur has since been preserved through several restorations. The largest restoration project was undertaken between 1975 and 1982 by the Indonesian government and UNESCO, following which the monument was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.[3] Borobudur is still used for pilgrimage; once a year Buddhists in Indonesia celebrate Vesak at the monument, and Borobudur is Indonesia's single most visited tourist attraction.<br />Source : Wikipedia.comwebmasterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11061921009213919321noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-357486857043398382.post-72204773138979706012009-05-17T10:31:00.000-07:002009-05-17T10:32:00.762-07:00Memorial in Kuta Beach Bali<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.indonesiatravel.org.uk/gifs/kuta-beach-in-bali.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://www.indonesiatravel.org.uk/gifs/kuta-beach-in-bali.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3073/2430664888_4f71dcda19.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3073/2430664888_4f71dcda19.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://oukisont.top-depart.com/Templates/1/1/2/1165/images/photo/63/12736/TP_05864.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://oukisont.top-depart.com/Templates/1/1/2/1165/images/photo/63/12736/TP_05864.JPG" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.icadl2008.org/images/destination/kuta%20beach.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://www.icadl2008.org/images/destination/kuta%20beach.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://img5.travelblog.org/Photos/75305/364223/t/3354671-Kuta-Beach-and-its-surfers-from-Casey-Lary-s-travelblog-2.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://img5.travelblog.org/Photos/75305/364223/t/3354671-Kuta-Beach-and-its-surfers-from-Casey-Lary-s-travelblog-2.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><span style="color: rgb(153, 0, 0); font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" >Memorial in Kuta Beach Bali</span>.........<br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">we booked on-line for today’s activities (mount cycling and water rafting inc. hotel transfer) for USD58/person (RM197). The starting point for cycling is quite far from Kuta Beach (almost 2-hour journey), going deeper into smaller village. On the way, stop a while, taking photos of volcanic Mt. Batur and its lake and also stop at Local coffee shop trying their coffee (not liking it). We were cycling passing Balinese village with very unique houses. Then, we heading towards Telaga Waja River located approximately 8 kms from Klungkung regency and about 51kms from Denpasar for White Water Rafting. For the rafting, i give 2 out of 5 stars. Not as what i expected. Padas River water rafting in Malaysia is far more adventure and exciting. After rafting, they searved buffet lunch which i in doubt to eat. With empty stomach, we continue our journey back to McDonald nearby our hotel. After filling up, after energy rise from 5% to 85%, walk along Kuta beach watching the exotic mallvellous sunset.<br />By : Wikipedia.com</div>webmasterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11061921009213919321noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-357486857043398382.post-10402433294699988462009-05-17T10:29:00.000-07:002009-05-17T10:30:40.332-07:00Travel Sanur Beach in Bali Indonesia<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://inlinethumb33.webshots.com/4128/2012507020051181705S500x500Q85.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://inlinethumb33.webshots.com/4128/2012507020051181705S500x500Q85.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2324/2236318580_015ffa7a5d.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2324/2236318580_015ffa7a5d.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://turwahyudin.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/pantai-sanur.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://turwahyudin.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/pantai-sanur.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.tropicalisland.de/DPS%20Bali%20Sanur%20beach%20people%20boarding%20the%20boat%20to%20Nusa%20Lembongan%20and%20Nusa%20Penida%20island%20b.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://www.tropicalisland.de/DPS%20Bali%20Sanur%20beach%20people%20boarding%20the%20boat%20to%20Nusa%20Lembongan%20and%20Nusa%20Penida%20island%20b.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.tradewindsthailand.com/images2/hotel_bali_sanur_paradise.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://www.tradewindsthailand.com/images2/hotel_bali_sanur_paradise.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><span style="color: rgb(51, 51, 255); font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" >Travel Sanur Beach in Bali Indonesia</span><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Sanur Beach Hotel at Denpasar city, Bali, has private beach, you can relax undisturbed by public, and popular for tourist who has more money to spend. Baiyun Mountain was already a famous scenic spot in Guangzhou in history. One can view the whole city proper from the height of the mountain. Renowned poets and scholars of past dynasties, such as Sushi, Yang Wanli, Wang Shizhen and others once came here and left poems and words after the visit. Baiyun Mountain is a bit rectangular, measuring 7 km from south to north, and 4 km from east to west, aged around 400 million years, one of the oldest mountains in Guangdong. It has gorgeous scenery and abundant historical relics. Among the past and present Eight Sights of Guangzhou, besides ‘Wind Soughing in the Pines on Baiyun Mountain’, there are ‘Pujian Spring’, ‘Looking afar in the evening from Baiyun Mountain’, ‘The Returned Monk at Jingtai’, ‘the Splendid Mountain of Cloud’, etc., which depict all the beautiful scenery of Baiyun Mountain.<br /><br />By : Wikipedia.com</div>webmasterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11061921009213919321noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-357486857043398382.post-31931292010227518772009-05-13T07:11:00.000-07:002009-05-13T07:12:21.262-07:00Yaluzangbu Grand Canyon<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.chinahighlights.com/image/news/yaluzangbu-grand-canyon.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://www.chinahighlights.com/image/news/yaluzangbu-grand-canyon.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.chinahighlights.com/image/news/nanyi-ditch.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://www.chinahighlights.com/image/news/nanyi-ditch.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.chinahighlights.com/news/photos/200872822284.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://www.chinahighlights.com/news/photos/200872822284.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.chinahighlights.com/image/news/mount-namyagjabarwa.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://www.chinahighlights.com/image/news/mount-namyagjabarwa.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.chinahighlights.com/image/news/yaluzangbu.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://www.chinahighlights.com/image/news/yaluzangbu.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><span style="color: rgb(51, 255, 51); font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" >Yaluzangbu Grand Canyon Picture</span><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The vice director of Tibet Tourism Bureau Mr. Wang revealed that, Tibet will recommend more winter tour products from October 20th, the average price will decrease 50% than summer.<br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Mr. Wang said that Tibet will adjust Airline, travel agencies and hotels’ price in winter, and recommend a series of discount tour products, which include transportation, accommodation and travel, especially, the air tickets will be 50% discount. For other Grand Canyons, see <span style="font-weight: bold;">Grand Canyon</span> (disambiguation).<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">The Grand Canyon is a steep-sided gorge carved by the Colorado River in the United States in the state of Arizona. It is largely contained within the Grand Canyon National Park — one of the first national parks in the United States. President Theodore Roosevelt was a major proponent of preservation of the Grand Canyon area, and visited it on numerous occasions to hunt and enjoy the scenery.<br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Longstanding scientific consensus has been that the canyon was created by the Colorado River over a six million year period. The canyon is 277 miles (446 km) long, ranges in width from 4 to 18 miles (6.4 to 29 km) and attains a depth of over a mile (1.83 km) (6000 feet). Nearly two billion years of the Earth's geological history have been exposed as the Colorado River and its tributaries cut their channels through layer after layer of rock while the Colorado Plateau was uplifted. The "canyon began in the west, followed by another that formed in the east. Eventually, the two broke through and met as a single majestic rent in the earth some six million years ago. [...] The merger apparently occurred where the river today bends to the west, in the area known as the Kaibab Arch."<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Before European immigration, the area was inhabited by Native Americans who built settlements within the canyon and its many caves. The Pueblo people considered the Grand Canyon ("Ongtupqa" in Hopi language) a holy site and made pilgrimages to it.[citation needed] The first European known to have viewed the Grand Canyon was García López de Cárdenas from Spain, who arrived in 1540.[3] In 1869, Major John Wesley Powell, a one-armed Civil War veteran, made the first recorded journey through the canyon on the Colorado River. Powell referred to the sedimentary rock units exposed in the canyon as "leaves in a great story book.<br /><br />By : Wikipedia.com</div>webmasterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11061921009213919321noreply@blogger.com0
